Gastric Anisakiasis
Abstract
Acute gastric anisakiasis is a form of visceral larva migrans acquired by eating raw or poorly cooked fish containing Anisakis larvae. It is well known that the whale is final host and man is opportunistic host. Clinical symptoms usually mimic
acute
gastritis. Endoscopy offers a pleasingly precise and rapid diagsis and treatment of acute gastric anisakiasis. Recently, I experienced four cases of acute gastric anisakiasis. I report four cases or gastric anisakiasis and briefly review the
literature.
